I am going to start a weekly feature called Mom's Corner. This is going to be a place to discuss all this homeschool or kid related. For me, being a mom and a homeschooler has been such a special, rewarding journey. Like all journeys, the road can get a bit bumpy once in a while.
I thought I would start things off with some issues we have been experiencing. Maybe some of you Mommas out there can relate.
My daughter will be 8 years old in June. We will be finishing up our second year of homeschool in a June. She is a hands-on learner. Lately, it has been rather difficult to get her to focus on her school work. When she sits at her desk she figits constantly. I find myself getting discouraged quite often. I am thinking it's most likely the fact the school is coming to an end, and her age too. Attention Deficit Disorder runs extremely strong on her dad's side, each of her siblings have it as well as her dad.
I am wondering if she is showing some ADD symptoms, or just being a kid? Do any of you deal with inattentiveness? How do you deal with it?
